Correa has received two of the more prestigious international awards for its milling head UAD and bridge type machine FOX.
Nicolás Correa has been awarded the iF Design Award 2020 in the product design category for the new machine FOX and the milling and turning head UAD. This is the second time that the company receives the prize conferred by the German organisation iF Design Foundation with great international prestigious in the design industry. This award is considered a symbol of design excellence internationally recognised since 1953.
The universal milling head UAD has been, also, rewarded with the Red Dot Award 2020 for its innovative design. This contest created in 1955, in Essen (Germany), has an international reputation among manufactures and designers; it recognises companies’ design quality and product innovation in several categories. Nicolás Correa’s milling head has been chosen among 6,500 products from 60 countries around the world from which only 1.2% have been awarded with the “Red Dot”.
The bridge type machine FOX has been the first of the new product line that Correa Group is currently developing; this milling machine was presented during EMO exhibition in 2019. The new machine range is designed for the machining of the future, with a new design which combines the precision and robustness of Correa machines with the most advanced technology. The FOX has a unique temperature control system in the vertical axis and a thermos-symmetrical design which guarantees ram geometrical stability.
The UAD is a universal auto-indexing head with a double Hirth coupling system patented worldwide which allows turning every 0.02º with a spindle rotation of 6000 rpm with no limitations. UAD works in S1 at 52 kW, 1,375 Nm thanks to its unique technology, as well as performs all types of machining operations, including large stock removal, hard materials, long tools and long 3D finishing operations, etc. Nicolás Correa has recently launched the milling head UAD-T. This head is equipped with the exclusive UAD-T technology in addition to spindle blockage feature to allow machining and turning operations with only one head.
