Correa Group will be exhibiting the newly designed FENIX milling machine and the company´s recently patented innovative boring head at the BIEMH 2022.
From 13th to 17th June, Correa Group will be taking part in the BIEMH 2022 show in Bilbao. At the machine tool exhibition, Correa will showcase its latest developments in multitasking machines that enable milling, boring and turning operations to be carried out on a single machine. The Correa stand will feature the new boring system and the newly designed FENIX travelling column milling machine.
The FENIX-35 offers travels of 3,500 mm longitudinally, 1,500 mm transversely and 3,000 mm vertically and is equipped with a UAD universal head; it also has an automatic tool changer. This machine offers great flexibility for different roughing and finishing operations. During the BIEMH, live machining demonstrations will be held on the FENIX on display at Correa stand.
The company will also show the new boring system patented worldwide by Nicolás Correa S.A., which combines the advantages of a milling machine, speed, precision, and flexibility, with those of a boring machine, rigidity with high torque and power. The direct drive motor allows 90 kW and 3,438 Nm to be used with the BM-180 boring bar, which has a diameter of 180 mm and a 1,000 mm in W axis. It also allows automatic head changing to interchange the BM-180 with other heads to offer great flexibility and maximum productivity.
This edition of the BIEMH trade fair, which is held every two years at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC), brings together leading companies from the machine tool sector from 28 countries, with more than 1,400 exhibitors confirmed to date.
