Nicolás Correa Group receives the iF Design Award 2018 for its UDX milling head
The 9th of March Nicolás Correa Group received the iF Design Award 2018 during one of the most prestigious and largest design competition in the world. This award recognises the excellence, quality and competiveness of Correa UDX milling head design that has revolutionised the Machine-Tool sector. From 1953, the iF Design Award is considered as a sign of good design for manufacturers from over the world.
During the ceremony, that took place at BMW Welt in Munich city, Nicolás Correa received the If Design Award in the “Product/Industry” category thanks to its UDX milling head. The UDX head is a mechanical transmission milling head, with unique features in the market and an unprecedented flexibility with rotation every 0,02º thanks to the double Hirth coupling patented worldwide by Nicolás Correa. The UDX head is able to perform 10,000 rpm (S1) allowing our customers the machining of large and high added value parts with just one head and one machine. Correa heads technology makes them some of the most robust and reliable elements of their kind on the market.
In this edition, in which iF Design Award has celebrated its 65 anniversary, well-known personalities and experts from over the world analysed and selected winners among more than 6.000 inscriptions from 54 different countries. Correa UDX head achieves this distinction due to its specifications that make them one of the most innovative on the market. Apart from its specifications and its unique technology, Jury’s members underlined its degree of functionality, its aesthetic appeal, its efficiency and social responsibility standards as well as its degree of differentiation in the Machine Tool Industry.
