The aim of this CENIT project (http://www.cenit-eee.com) is to put the machine tool industry in a leading position on the global market by 2015. To this end, its main objective is to research and develop technology to lay the groundwork for the machine tools of 2015.
- Environment: To evaluate environmental costs in order to achieve drastic reductions in energy consumption and the generation of waste, also reusing the machine by recycling 100%.
- E-machine: To develop the capacity to adapt the machine to achieve objectives and to interact with the user, by integrating several sensors and other information sources.
- Multi-processing: To enable the machine to perform different operations of the same or different type on the same part, also to make the machines more flexible.
- Efficient: To double the current values for productivity and improve precision by a factor of three.
